It soaks in much faster than a conventional lotion (because it doesn't have silicone and the other things that artificially hold moisture in) so I applied it a bit more often than I would have done with lotion. I think the key is just to kind of keep an eye on your skin and make sure you're keeping it well enough moisturized, but not soggy.Alexhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10086293333256908911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714804979834656722.post-26933562450164380612013-05-13T18:54:44.488-07:002013-05-13T18:54:44.488-07:00did you ever get actual tattoo, and did you use th...did you ever get actual tattoo, and did you use the coconut oil on it?Katyalani Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01875430360804342107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714804979834656722.post-51391221758477936732012-10-17T11:41:44.363-07:002012-10-17T11:41:44.363-07:00I did a little googling because I'd always hea...I did a little googling because I'd always heard it was heart-healthy, as far as oils go... turns out there's a big difference between Virgin and non-virgin oils!

http://www.dallasnews.com/health/heart-health/headlines/20120130-coconut-oil-heart-stopper-or-healthy-favorite.ece

I should probably have specified- get the Virgin kind!Alexhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10086293333256908911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714804979834656722.post-12200646331845638572012-10-17T11:38:21.438-07:002012-10-17T11:38:21.438-07:00Eating coconut oil is a kind of dicey topic. My 2 year old has PK really bad on his arms and we've tried all the usual things that our pediatrician recommended (Eucerin, Cetaphyl, Aveno Baby) but nothing has worked. We were at Trader Joe's today and I picked some up so hopefully this will work. Can't wait to try some of your other suggestions too!Dianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10157904204372685921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714804979834656722.post-45196094977211582932012-08-08T07:05:36.469-07:002012-08-08T07:05:36.469-07:00I've used it before for moisturizing and I lik...I've used it before for moisturizing and I like it... I haven't really done any research into it's other useful properties yet. The bottle I had ended up going rancid before I used it all and that kind of put me off, but that's totally my fault for dawdling with it, haha (I think it does better in the fridge, too.) I do like that coconut oil stays good out of the fridge for like, 2 years...though at this rate I'm going through it way faster than that.Alexhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10086293333256908911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714804979834656722.post-59961138989232462082012-08-07T23:02:49.926-07:002012-08-07T23:02:49.926-07:00I'd love to hear your thoughts on sweet almond...I'd love to hear your thoughts on sweet almond oil.
